Welcome to the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity Chapter at Cal Poly / SLO
DELTA SIGMA PHI, Est. 1899
EPSILON RHO CHAPTER, Est. 1950
This site is dedicated to our 1,600 Cal Poly Delta Sig alumni since 1950, and to supporting our undergraduate Brothers!
One of our goals is to promote our life-long bond by keeping our alumni connected and informed about alumni, undergraduate member, Chapter, and University news, issues, and events.
Another goal is to guide and better the University/fraternal experience of our
undergraduate Brothers. We provide significant alumni oversight of Chapter operations while promoting values-based decision-making by our members as they learn through self-governance. Alumni fund and promote leadership training, scholarships, and character-enhancing programs.
We supplement Cal Poly's excellent "Learn By Doing" approach to student development with a great "Lab On Life" for additional personal growth. Members have fun while emphasizing academic achievement, learning leadership and group interaction skills, and practicing responsible social conduct and bystander responsibility. Members participate in philanthropy, campus involvement including student government and clubs, and community service.
Alumni built, own, maintain, and provide members with a large, clean, drug-and-alcohol free, Chapter facility where 35 men can live, eat, study, work, and socialize together, and gather with our other members who live elsewhere. It has a sports court, great parking, and is located only two blocks from campus.
Our Delta Sigma Phi fraternal experience at Epsilon Rho, Cal Poly, adds value to a student's University experience - and builds a strong network of close friendships for life. We practice our National Fraternity motto:
Building Better Men - Better Lives!

CAL POLY Changing To Semester Terms
- Beginning in Fall 2026, CAL POLY will change from three 10-week quarters to two 15-week semesters. Three key reasons were cited for this change, one being a better alignment between summer breaks and the periods of internship offerings and study abroad. CAL POLY's web site offers resources to assist students with preparation for this transition.
Poly P Scholarship
SLO Delta Sig alumni established a philanthropic scholarship program in 2012, the “Poly P Scholarship”. This program provides our alumni with a collective means of giving back to our alma mater and its student body while honoring our older DSP Brothers who designed and built the present hillside “P” in 1957. To date, DSP alumni and their wives have given $23,500 directly to non-fraternal and non-sorority students based upon merit and need. Non-Greek, first year students equally share in educational award opportunities.
Those interested in this program can access the online application and related scholarship information at http://www.calpolydspalumni.com/, or use the following links:
The photo of the "P" is from DSP archives and shows a 1981 DSP undergrad workday on the hillside icon.
